Small Business Grants with a November Deadline

With 2023 coming to a close, it’s a perfect time for small businesses to evaluate their goals and start planning projects for 2024. Small business grants can help businesses meet goals for the end of the year or start the following year on a positive note. Read about several opportunities with deadlines this November below.

Boston SPACE Grants

Boston is opening a second round of funding through its Supporting Pandemic Affected Community Enterprises (SPACE) grants. This round of the program will award grants of up to $200,000 to about 20 businesses. The program aims to fill empty storefronts throughout the city’s commercial districts and narrow the racial wealth gap. Businesses can apply for funds to help open their first physical location or expand to a new location in the city. Priority will be given to businesses in downtown areas and commercial districts, as well as industries that were most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, like food and retail. The program, which is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, has already awarded more than $2.8 million in funds to 24 entrepreneurs throughout the city. The deadline for this round of the program is November 10.
