Sowunmi questioned the authority and capacity of the President’s children to issue such orders, stating, “When did we get to that level? Even in the worst days of General Sani Abacha… Never was a time where his children said you can’t do this, you can’t do this.”
He criticized the blurring of lines between family and government, emphasizing that the President’s children should not be issuing orders to citizens.
“I’ve tried to understand their policies, but I’m lost because of the characters that typifies who this government is. Imagine in Nigeria where the Biological children of the President issuing orders to Nigerians because of a protest.
