Tinubu had directed the security agencies to stop owners of the warehouses from profiteering during a meeting with state governors and security agencies at the State House on Thursday.
A few hours after the directive, a video showing the moment security personnel raided a warehouse hoarding foodstuffs like spaghetti, Indomie surfaced online.
In the video, the narrator lamented the situation, saying the warehouse contains cartons of spaghettis hoarded for profiteering.
Meanwhile, the President, in the same vein, had urged state governors to work with the Federal Government to increase food production.
Tinubu equally advised warned against resorting to importation of food as a means of addressing the shortage being experienced in the country.
Yesterday, a sad video reportedly showing the moment residents of Lagos State queued in front of a bread factory while being flogged by the factory workers in exchange for a N100 loaf of bread trended.
The incident happened in Lagos Island yesterday, February 14th, 2024.
This highlights the brunt of the economic hardship in Nigeria which is undoubtedly worsening, with series of reports revealing that it is now felt by Nigerians across the country.
