The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) determined the standards for selecting target establishments in the sixth category to apply the integration phase of e-invoicing.
In a statement, the authority added that the sixth category includes all establishments whose revenues, inclusive of value-added tax, exceed SAR 70 million in 2021 or 2022.
ZATCA will notify all target establishments in preparation for linking and integrating their e-invoicing systems, via “Fatora” platform, starting from Jan. 1, 2024.
The integration phase has additional requirements, including linking the e-invoicing systems of taxpayers with the Fatora platform and issuing e-invoices with a specific format. In addition, some additional elements should be included in the invoice. The second phase will be implemented gradually and in categories, provided that the authority informs the subsequent categories directly, at least six months before the date specified for the integration.
