The Festival of Lights calls for some stellar gifting.

It’s officially time to start sourcing the best Hanukkah gifts. The holiday begins on a different date each year and lasts eight nights, usually starting in December. In 2023, the first night is Thursday, December 7, and the last night is Friday, December 15, which means, well, time’s ticking.
People who don’t celebrate the holiday often wonder if you’re supposed to gift all eight nights or save for one big Hanukkah present—and then there’s the question of gifting traditional Hanukkah-centric presents (like menorahs, dreidels, all things blue and white, etc.). But just as with Christmas, there are no rules for Hanukkah presents. Whether you settle on eight inexpensive gifts, choose to do a white elephant family exchange, or buy your hard-to-shop-for friends one item each, it’s truly the thought that counts, and now more than ever.
At its core, Hanukkah is about celebrating miracles—both big and small—and enjoying time with loved ones. In that spirit, we’ve gathered some of the most joyful gifts for everyone on your list.
If your giftee prefers a gift that gives back, and there’s no better time than right now, consider making a donation to the Jewish Federation of North America, which lets you support the local Jewish community in whatever city or state you choose.

The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series by Jessica Radloff
Okay, I might be biased because I wrote the book, but, I maintain that this is the ultimate gift for any Big Bang Theory fan. The new paperback edition takes a detailed look at the most popular sitcom of the last decade and includes stories (and photos) of the casts’ Hanukkah celebrations on set, plus 48 new photos. You’ll also learn fascinating (IMHO) secrets behind the scenes (Cuoco and Johnny Galecki’s love story, the decision to end the show, and more).

FiloStudios Custom Embroidered Pet Sweatshirt
These custom embroidered sweatshirts from FiloStudios are among the best gifts you can get a pet lover. You choose the color of the sweatshirt, the placement of the image, and the thread color for the name—and you can include more than one pet. You just have to send multiple photos of the animal with them looking straight on, and allow enough time for completion. And if sweatshirts aren’t their thing, you can also order a baseball cap or a tote bag with their pet’s face on it. Honestly, it’s purrfect.
