‘Brother Love’

In an Instagram post following the news of the indictment of Tupac’s alleged murderer, Keefe D, 50 Cent shared the infamous image of Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight in a car together, moments before the late rap legend’s tragic passing. Alongside the photo, he captioned:

“Damn so pac got lined by brother love. Time to Lawyer up, sh*t might get sticky.”

This caption implies the business mogul/rapper believes Diddy, who now goes by “Brother Love,” had a hand in orchestrating Tupac’s murder.

In 2017, Diddy announced that his name is “Love” AKA “Brother Love.” He wrote on Instagram saying:

“I have some very serious, serious, serious news. I’ve been praying on this and I decided – I know it was risky because it could come off as corny to some people like, ‘Yo.’ I decided to change my name again. I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different. So my new name is Love a.k.a. Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy or any of my other monikers but Love or Brother Love. Okay? It’s my birthday. I feel good. God is the greatest. I give all the glory and I thank my mommy and daddy.”

Then in 2018, the rapper stood firm on Love when he took to Jimmy Kimmel Live stating:

“I never went back to Diddy and I made an edit from Brother Love, since I’m already black, to just Love,” he explained. “The Brother seemed redundant. And it’s working out great. Who doesn’t love love? … You can call me by the other names,” he let viewers know. “It’s just an evolution of my soul and my vibration.”

Fans Chime In

Fans flooded 50’s comments, where the majority expressed agreement with the rapper. One fan commented:

“Anyone who don’t think Diddy was the 1 behind this listennnn….

Another fan said, “diddy sent a hit out on suge and pac. They were both supposed to die in that car half the money was paid cuz only pac died that’s why in retaliation they killed biggie… do ya homework.”

‘This Ain’t My Kinda Party’

Adding fuel to the fire, a clip surfaced of 50 Cent during his ‘Final Lap Tour’ in Norway, where he expressed his aversion to attending Diddy’s parties. On stage, he stated:

“That’s why I don’t be goin’ to Puffy’s parties, N*gga hug you from the front and the back at the same time…. f*ck you talkin about… this ain’t my kinda party. I mean, if you into that, you into that. I’m just saying this ain’t my motherf*ckin’ kind of party. I’m uncomfortable. I think I belong in the girl’s bathroom.”

This is not the first time 50 Cent has taken shots at Diddy and his Hollywood parties. During the summer months, he posted a picture of Lil Baby being embraced at Michael Rubin’s all-white party with the caption:

“See this is why I don’t go to no party puffy and them at. Da fu*k is going on here get the fu*k off my young… WTF!”

50 Cent Sponsors Girls’ Football Team

Amidst the controversy, the “I Get Money” rapper has shown his philanthropy side by sponsoring a youth girls’ football team called AFC Rumney in Cardiff. The collaboration came about through one of the players’ fathers, who worked with the rapper and suggested sponsorship. The team’s manager, Richie Brown, expressed their gratitude, stating:

“He sponsored our away kit first of all, and then we were a little bit cheeky. We asked for a little bit more and he sponsored us again for our tracksuits. We’re going to get a few photos taken and sent over to him, then hopefully he can give us a good luck video or something to acknowledge it all. We’re massively appreciative of everything he’s doing for us right now. We love the support.”

50 Cent also took to Facebook to announce the sponsorship and showcase the new tracksuits the team received writing:

“We feel absolutely over the moon that our u14s Girls have been sponsored by World Known Superstar Actor / Music Producer Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson and G Unit.. He has provided our girls with a brand new, top quality away kit which we look forward to wearing this season. He has also been extremely generous by providing our whole team with brand new club tracksuits. Thank you so much for your support, also a massive thank you to John Hall for securing the sponsorship for us.”

In a similar realm of celebrity feuds and legal troubles, rapper Offset and Kenneth Petty, the husband of Nicki Minaj, engaged in a heated online feud that led to threats and escalated tensions. Petty’s actions ultimately resulted in him facing house arrest.
