Karunas, a former member of the Legislative Assembly and actor, was arrested at the Chennai airport with forty cartridges, which has caused a commotion.
When actor Karunas arrived at the Chennai airport for a journey from Chennai to Trichy, airport security officers found two boxes of ammunition in his hand bag. The ammunition was taken from the hand bag.
It is reported that Karunas explained to the airport security personnel that he had a gun license and that these were the bullets for which he was aware that firearms should not be brought on the plane. However, because he was leaving so quickly, he did not notice the bullets that were in the bag. Security personnel are conducting an investigation. The flight to Trichy was delayed by approximately half an hour as a result of this occurrence.
