Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, claims he lowered the price of Premium Motor Spirit, often known as petrol, at his fueling station MYCA7 in Kano to lessen the hardship that the rise in the petroleum product’s price has caused for Nigerians.

On Monday, Ahmed Musa tweeted about the price drop from N620 to N580 per litre.

The price of PMS at the pump has doubled in the two months after President Bola Tinubu proclaimed an end to fuel subsidies, with the product now selling for as much as N620 per litre or more in various regions of the nation.

The increase led to an increase in both the price of living and transportation across the nation.

Speaking with the press on Wednesday, the Sivasspor forward said the move was to help alleviate the sufferings of the masses.

“Its the best that I can do for my people here,” Musa said.

“No matter how small the reduction is, we can live better with that. It’s tough now and I know people are struggling to survive daily,” the Eagles captain added.
