Al B. Sure! made a cryptic comment seemingly insinuating Sean “Diddy” Combs had something to do with his 2022 coma.
“We’re going to be producing the Al B. Sure! life story,” the singer, whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown III, told Equal Justice Now Awards audience members in Los Angeles on Friday in a clip obtained by TMZ.
“So hold on to your britches, and you’ll really understand how I ended up in a coma.”

He then quipped, “You’re really gonna need to call Homeland Security.”
Sure’s reference to the feds led fans to believe he was implying Combs, whose Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided by Homeland Security last week, played a role in his health scare.
The radio host, 55, was hospitalized in July 2022 and remained in a coma for more than two months.

Since waking up in October 2022, Sure has given rare insight into the near-death experience, telling Fox New York he had been “intubated [and] on a ventilator with a tracheotomy.”
He was also the recipient of “an amazing blessed new liver” that he planned to “treat well.”
Sure referenced the coma a second time Friday when asked about his and the late Kim Porter‘s 32-year-old son, Quincy, who Combs raised as his own.

The new jack swing performer expressed his relief to TMZ that Quincy “wasn’t there when all of the hoopla jumped off” with the Bad Boy Records founder.
“The entire situation is unfortunate. I don’t speak about another man’s business,” Sure went on to tell the outlet. “All I know is that I’m working on the life story. And the way I got to be in a coma, stay tuned.”

The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper — who is also the father of Justin, 30, King, 26, Chance, 17, twins D’Lila and Jessie, 17, and Love, 1 — has been steadily making headlines since his ex Cassie sued him for rape and physical abuse in November 2023.
Since the former couple “amicably” settled, Combs, 54, has been hit with more sexual assault lawsuits and repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
After the billionaire music mogul’s homes were raided on March 25, Sure begged Quincy to “come home” via social media.

He recently pleaded for Quincy to “come home” amid Combs’ legal troubles.
Quincy, who has yet to comment on Combs’ legal struggles, did post an Instagram Story snap with Love as they celebrated Easter together over the weekend.
Combs did the same, marking his first social media upload since the feds stormed his property.
“HAPPY EASTER from Baby Love,” he captioned the snaps of his and Dana Tran’s daughter. He muted comments on the post.
