LEGOs are arguably the most popular toy brand around. These plastic bricks have captured the hearts of both kids and adults who just can’t help but relish in the joy of putting tiny things together. They’re so popular now that they’ve crossed into almost every different medium. There are a slew of LEGO games, LEGO movies, and thousands upon thousands of different themed LEGO sets to enjoy. You can even own a LEGO mug if you so choose.
LEGO as a brand has grown huge, but are the bricks themselves still the kids toys they were originally meant to be? The LEGO website currently offers a total 155 sets in the 18+ age range that are by definition meant for adults. And with no upper age limit on any of the available sets, anyone with a love for these tiny building blocks is free to play to their heart’s content.
What Do You Think?
There are plenty of great LEGO sets for adults and kids out there, but do you think LEGOs themselves are more for kids than adults in 2024? There’s no doubt that LEGOs are fun for anyone and everyone involved, but with many of the most expensive LEGO sets being primarily targeted at adults and interest in this particular age range increasing year after year, it’s hard to say if these are still primarily toys for kids.
