B.G. continues to make positive strides in his life since being released from prison. The New Orleans rapper recently graduated with his GED in Business and has an upcoming collaboration with Boosie. This news comes after B.G. served 11 years in prison and was released on September 5.

On September 23, B.G. graduated with his GED in Business from the social service organization Hope For Prisoners. The organization aims to assist formerly incarcerated individuals in successfully reintegrating into the workforce through workshops, training, and job search support. 

This news comes after B.G. served 11 years in prison for possession of a firearm and obstruction of justice and was released on September 5.

A Twitter (X) video showcases the former Hot Boys rapper celebrating his graduation alongside others, with his 2004 song “Don’t Talk To Me” playing in the background. Users expressed their support, with one commenting, “Love to see a Black man get back on his feet” and saying, “This made me smile.”

In addition to obtaining his GED, B.G. has returned to the music studio and has an upcoming collaboration with trap music legend Boosie. 

Boosie announced their new music on his X account with the caption “THIS FRIDAY 9/29.” The cover art features an old picture of the two rappers, and the song is titled “Back With My Dawg.” 

The two Louisiana rappers have collaborated in the past before B.G. ‘s incarceration, releasing songs like “Miss Boosie,” “Louisiana Finest,” and “Where They Do Dat At.”

Fans can expect to hear more from B.G. as he will be a featured artist on Boosie’s deluxe version of his album “Goin Thru Some Thangs,” set to be released on October 6.

B.G.’s journey has been filled with positive developments and opportunities since his release. Upon leaving prison, Cash Money boss Birdman and others welcomed him back into the fold. 

Birdman even announced that he re-signed B.G. to Cash Money and expressed his desire for a Hot Boys reunion tour. B.G. was a member of the Hot Boys, along with Lil Wayne, Turk, and Juvenile.

In the realm of hip-hop, fans have also seen other formerly incarcerated rappers make a comeback. Big Hit, the father of star producer Hit-Boy, was released in May and has since collaborated with his son on songs like “Wake Your Game Up” and “Police.”
