In June, Taiwanese artiste Da Ya (大牙) accused her former boss Blackie Chen (陳建州) of sexual harassment which took place in 2012. Blackie initially kept a low profile, but is now ready to resume making public appearances after three months passed since the scandal.
Blackie and his wife Christine Fan (范瑋琪) both vehemently denied harassment claims and accused Da Ya of spreading malicious rumors. They demanded Da Ya pay 10 million New Taiwan dollars in compensation and issue a public apology on Facebook.
In July, Da Ya revealed Blackie and Christine withdrew their civil procedure case and pressed criminal charges. He was seen in person at the Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office in mid-August.
Last week, Blackie finally updated his social media sharing his basketball team will be participating in the East Asian Super League. Although Blackie is ready to resume publicity events, some netizens are not supportive of his comeback and continue to cheer Da Ya instead.
