Chiyaan Vikram who recently stunned audiences with his fiery performance as Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ also wrapped up shooting of Pa. Ranjith’s magnum opus ‘Thangalaan’. The much in demand actor has not signed any new film recently and fans are waiting for updates on his next.
Now as sweet news for Vikram fans director R.S. Vimal has officially announced on his facebook page that the delayed mega epic ‘Suryaputra Mahaveer Karna’ will restart filming soon. The project announced a few years back with Vikram in the title role went on floors and a few war sequences were shot. But due to unknown reason the production was stalled for a couple of years now.
It was said that Vikram had opted out but Vimal in his facebook has posted the message “Sooryaputhran karnan rolling soon” with Vikram’s still as Karna grabbed from footage in the film. We will have to wait for the official word regarding the production house and the rest of the cast and crew.
Meanwhile Chiyaan Vikram’s other long delayed film ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ directed by Gautham Menon with Harris Jayaraj’s music is also likely to release this Diwali. The official announcement is expected on September 23rd.
