Bruce Springsteen Postpones Four Shows On Doctor’s Orders

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will have to take some time away from the road because of the star’s vocal issues.

Springsteen postponed his Saturday, May 25, show at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille, France. He has also pushed back show planned for Prague (May 28) and Milan (June 1 and 3)

“Due to vocal issues and under doctor’s direction, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s concert this evening at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille has been postponed to a later date,” stated Springsteen’s social media on Saturday. “We thank you for your understanding and will keep you informed of the new date very soon. Show tickets will be valid for the new date and, for those who want, they will be eligible for reimbursement at point of purchase.”

Springsteen, 74, postponed multiple shows last year due to a bout with peptic ulcer disease. The 24 postponed shows have been rescheduled, and more stadium dates in Europe and two shows in the U.S., have been added.

The strength of Springsteen’s voice has been an issue since the E Street Band’s tour resumed March 19.
