The next big Call of Duty Warzone update goes live later today, here’s when you can download the Season 5 update.
Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 will kick off later today, with the new Call of Duty content update introducing a bunch of new weapons, bug fixes and a number of new operators, including Hip Hop trio Snoop Dog, Nicki Minaj (mid-season) and 21 Savage (mid-season). There’s also a new resurgence map set to be introduced mid-season too, with the Fort Resurgence map featuring a section of Al Mazrah that will play host to Armored Royale.
And, there’s a brand new Champions Quest for Vondel, which can be completed only in the Mini Battle Royale mode. Here’s when the Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 update goes live.
Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 update time
As per our friends over at Mirror Gaming, the Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 update will be available to download in the UK at 5pm BST on Wednesday, August 2, which is 12 pm EDT / 9am PDT for those in the United States.
The Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 update should begin automatically at the above time for players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, who will be able to jump into Season 5 once the download is finished. But for players on PS5 and PS4, you should be able to pre-load the update, allowing you to experience the new content slightly earlier.
Ahead of the launch of Call of Duty Warzone Season 5, Activision has confirmed, via a blog post, details about the new Season 5 Battle Pass, with new operators like Phillip Graves and Oz able to be instantly unlocked for those who pick up the Battle Pass or the BlackCell Battle Pass. Also new for Season 5 is the ability for players to have a Tactical Pet companion, but they won’t do much apart from participating in finishing moves.
