Similar to other survival games, LEGO Fortnite has day and night cycles. Find out if you can skip the night in LEGO Fortnite.

It’s all sunshine and rainbows in LEGO Fortnite until nighttime arrives. During this time, it feels like the game has completely shifted to a different kind. Gone are the chickens, sheep, and cows that add life to your surroundings. Instead, in the midst of darkness, you’ll notice that skeletons will start crawling out of the ground.

By all means, LEGO Fortnite isn’t a horror game, but it’s almost impossible not to feel chills down your spine when you see an abundance of skeletons roaming around you. Add to the fact that the rain’s pouring hard and your character’s cold, being awake at night can certainly feel like a nightmare.

Of course, this makes a lot of players wonder if it’s possible to sleep through the night in this game mode, like how you would in other survival games. So, can you skip the night in LEGO Fortnite? We’ve got the answer right here.

Can You Sleep Through the Night in LEGO Fortnite?

Gathering around the campfire at night.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to skip the night in LEGO Fortnite. Although the game allows you to build a bed for your character, sleeping on it won’t advance the time of day. The bed only serves as a place to regain your health and as a respawn point, which you can change at any time as long as you have another bed built nearby.

What Can You Do at Night in LEGO Fortnite?

Being alone in the dark may seem scary at first, but while you wait for the sun to rise, there are still things you can do at night to prepare for the next day. For example, you can collect bones from defeating skeletons. This is one of the materials used to craft starting items, such as Uncommon Forest Axe, Uncommon Pickaxe, and Common Health Charm.

Additionally, normal activities such as cooking and building can also be done at night. If you’re continuing your build, it’s recommended to carry a torch since the darkness makes it hard to see where you can place the blocks in your building.

On the other hand, crafting is a bit trickier, especially if it’s pouring at night. Unless you bring a torch, you’ll get cold if you’re too far away from the campfire. Also, you can’t use your crafting stations outside when it’s raining, which makes sense. However, if you have an NPC around, they can still use them regardless.

That’s everything you need to know about the night cycle in LEGO Fortnite. Although you can’t sleep through it, generally you can use the time to continue usual activities. While you’re here, check out our guides hub for more guides and stories for Fortnite.
