The suspect who allegedly killed a military officer in Kasoa in a dispute over a piece of land has been arrested.
Identified as Benlord Ababio by the Police, he allegedly shot and killed a military officer over a land dispute.
The officer was found dead in his car in a video that has gone viral on social media.
In a statement, the Ghana Police said Ababio has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
“Premiliminary police investigation has established that the suspect, Benlord Ababio allegedly shot the soldier at Millenium City Kasoa in Tuesday, 30th April 2024, at about 4:20 p.m. The victim sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital at Kasoa for medical attention.
“However, he was later pronounced dead by the medical authorities,” a statement from the police service said.
