The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) hailed this Cabinet approval as a ‘pivotal step’ in enhancing the city’s Metro network, promising ‘substantial benefits to the region.’ NMRC Managing Director Lokesh M described the state cabinet’s nod as a significant step that will ensure “seamless public transportation.

Addressing the demand for efficient mobility

As Noida continues to develop along the Yamuna Expressway, the demand for Metro connectivity from both residents and office-goers has been significant. Reports add that the new Metro route will include stations at Botanical Garden, Sector 44, Noida Authority Office in Sector 96, Sector 97, Sector 105, Sector 108, Sector 93, and Panchsheel Balak Inter College, addressing the need for efficient and reliable public transportation.

Seamless connectivity to Delhi

Upon completion, the extension will make commuting between Noida, Greater Noida, and Delhi much easier. It will provide direct connections to the IGI Airport through the Magenta Line and to the New Delhi Railway Station via the Blue Line. Furthermore, inter-city buses to Greater Noida will be accessible from the Botanical Garden station.

This improved connectivity in all likelihood will transform daily commutes, reducing transportation costs, and help people to avoid congestion problems.
