The driver of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo identified as one Joseph Addo has decided to enter politics.
Addo has filed to contest for the NPP Parliamentary Primary to be held in the La Dadekotopon constituency.
He has been the President’s personal driver for the past 20 years and now says he’s ready to take his service to the next level by serving the people of Dadekotopon in Parliament.
“I was born and bred here in La, I have lived all my life here so I am not new in this constituency,” Citinewsroom quoted him as saying.
According to him, he has proven his bonafides to members of the party in the constituency.
“I have helped the youth in this area get jobs and employment in government agencies,”
The NPP in Dadekotopon would hold a new primary on April 27th 2024 after their chosen candidate, Dr. Gerald Joseph Tetteh resigned for personal reasons.
Addo will face off with the MCE for the area, Solomon Kotey Niikoi in the primary.
