Diiv have announced a 2024 North American tour and shared a video for their Frog in Boiling Water single “Brown Paper Bag.” In the clip, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst introduces Diiv on a TV studio stage, Saturday Night Live–style, and they launch into a disaffected performance of the song that causes the ceiling to collapse. The video ends with a parody commercial for an anti-capitalism brand called Soul Net. Watch it below.
The North American tour takes place this summer, and brings Diiv across the United States and Canada. After kicking things off in Santa Cruz, California, on June 6, Diiv will stay on the road for dozens of performances, concluding the run in their hometown of Brooklyn, New York, on August 7. Frog in Boiling Water is Diiv’s first new album in five years. The follow-up to Deceiver arrives on May 24 via Fantasy. It’s self-described as “a collection of snapshots” about the “slow, sick, and overwhelmingly banal collapse of society under end-stage capitalism” and what it feels like to experience that as an individual.
