Calling all shark enthusiasts. SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the World’s Largest Indoor Marine Life Theme Park is gearing up to explore the incredible world of sharks during Shark Week. Running until July 13th, guests can look forward to a week-long celebration at SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and deep dive into the wonders of these modern-day predators.

In addition to running incredible educational shark activities for the week, the region’s first marine life theme park will also be the main sponsor for Warner Bros. Discovery’s Shark Week, a series devoted to conservation efforts and correcting misconceptions about sharks.

Thomas Kaferle, General Manager of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi said: “We are very excited to celebrate Shark Week for the second time since opening last year, this time the celebration is bigger than ever with plenty of limited-time activities that entertain and most importantly educate guests about sharks. These marine animals play a crucial role in maintaining a balanced ecosystem in our oceans and Shark Week is a great opportunity for us to enrich our guests’ knowledge by providing opportunities for them to observe and learn more about the different shark species at our marine life theme park.”

Guests will embark on an unforgettable journey with the Shark Week Passport. This interactive guide leads guests through five exciting stations that are perfect for families and can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. Alongside the entertainment aspect, these stations are also packed with educational activities that offer fascinating facts about sharks. Guests must complete the activities to earn stamps at each station. With the help of the passport, guests will be able to navigate the marine life theme park, locate all the stations and discover all the excitement Shark Week has to offer.

Throughout Shark Week, guests can witness a magnificent spectacle at the One Ocean realm. A gigantic, 60-foot-long inflatable whale shark will be on display daily from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Endless Ocean and Abu Dhabi Ocean retail stores will offer a fin-credible selection of shark-themed apparel and souvenirs. Guests can take home a piece of the excitement and celebrate these awe-inspiring animals. After a day of learning and exploration, guests can indulge in delicious shark-themed treats available only at Endless Ocean’s dining outlets.

From keeping prey populations in check to maintaining coral reefs, sharks play an irreplaceable role. Follow SeaWorld Abu Dhabi on social media throughout Shark Week for daily facts about sharks, and how everyone can contribute to their conservation at @seaworldabudhabi.
