The Army Headquarters Garrison says it would conduct a battle simulation exercise at 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course, Lungi Barracks, Maitama, Abuja.
Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Njideka Agwu, in a statement, said the Exercise was part of activities scheduled for the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023, which started from Tuesday, 24 October to Wednesday, 25 October 2023.
The statement added that the Exercise would involve real-time battlefield simulations and activities, heralding large battle sounds that would be heard during the Exercise, as are the characteristics of training exercises.
It further advised members of the public residing around Maitama, Asokoro, A.Y.A and the environs not to panic but to go about their normal activities.
It said the battle sounds would not raise any security concerns, just as the army Headquarters Garrison assured the public that it had put all necessary safety measures ahead of the Exercise.
