Ashley Park is well on her way to recovery after going into “critical septic shock” while on a romantic getaway in the Maldives last month.
“Just wanted to update that I was medically cleared to fly after responding to treatments, and am now recovering and resting in Paris where I was greeted with this incredible warm welcome from loved ones and my ’Emily In Paris’ fam,” the “Emily in Paris” star wrote in a statement shared via Instagram on Sunday.
Park, 32, said that she was “deeply moved” by all the supportive messages she received from fans, saying that the loving notes have “boosted” her into a “quick and hopeful recovery.”
“Thank you to @netflix and @emilyinparis for their genuine kindness and gracious patience as I wait to be medically cleared to work…,” Park continued. “I couldn’t be more excited to join then [sic] all on set for Season 4 ❤️.”

Park, who plays Mindy Chen in the hit Netflix show, even gave a special shoutout to her co-star Lily Collins, who portrays lead character Emily Cooper in the Paris-based series.
“I promise im breathing through this all and taking as much care of myself as I can to get back into fighting shape. in the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles @lilyjcollins ;),” Park said.
Collins, 34, replied in the comments section of Park’s update, writing, “Couldn’t love you more and hugging you made me feel like home. You’re an absolute light sister.”

The “Mirror, Mirror” actress also took to her Instagram Story to share her relief for her friend’s health improvements.
“I couldn’t be more fulfilled knowing you’re here, more relieved knowing you’re ok, and more grateful for your health and heart,” Collins wrote.
Park shared photos of her couch cuddles with Collins as well as a snap of her acupuncture treatment and the many beautiful flower bouquets she received from her support system.

The “Mon Soleil” singer went into “critical septic shock” over the New Year’s holiday while vacationing with co-star-turned boyfriend Paul Forman.
“What started as tonsillitis spiraled into critical septic shock, which infected and affected several of my organs,” Park shared earlier this month. “I am grateful that my health has improved despite what we had initially been told.”
She also thanked Forman, 29, for being by her side “unconditionally” throughout the terrifying health scare.

“You calmed my fears and held me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, scary ERs, countless scans and tests and injections, excruciating pain, and so much confusion all while we were alone on the other side of the world far from those we know,” she said at the time.
“I love you Paul. More than I can ever say,” she added.
The Broadway performer told fans that she was transferred from the Maldives to a hospital in Dubai to receive proper medical treatment before being cleared for her Paris return.
