Nigerian singer and songwriter Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, known professionally as Fave, has called out David Adeleke, aka Davido, for performing their song Kante without including her verse.
The track from Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless, features Fave.
Fave took to her verified Twitter account to express her disappointment with how her new year started.
According to her, she had the chance to meet Davido backstage and even exchanged hugs with him. However, during his performance, Davido sang a new version of Kante, where Fave’s verse was noticeably absent.

In the now-deleted tweet, she mentioned how performing with Davido would have been a great way to start her year but acknowledged that sometimes life doesn’t go as planned.
In a follow-up tweet, she expressed that it would have been better if she sent him a direct text to express her feelings as the internet is often unkind to people who speak ill of their faves.
