And as the pressure mounts, the Guardian reports that United’s board are fully backing Ten Hag.
The board takes into consideration the fact there are severe injuries at the club at the moment as about 12 first-team players are on the sidelines.
Midfielder Sofyan Amrabat was forced to play as a left-back during the game against Galatasaray in the absence of injured Luke Shaw, Sergio Reguilon and Tyrell Malacia which gave room for the Turkish side to claim all three points at Manchester United.
The club hierarchy also put into consideration off-field issues such as the Mason Greenwood saga and Antony and Jadon Sancho .
