EPL: Man United take decision on sacking Erik ten Hag after defeat to Galatasaray

Manchester United have already made their stance known as it concerns sacking their manager, Erik ten Hag.

The club’s board, according to reports in Manchester, still have their full support for the Dutchman, who they believe is the right man for the job.

This is despite the former Ajax boss overseeing a disastrous start to the season, seeing them lose six of their last ten matches.

The Red Devils fell to a 3-2 home defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

And as the pressure mounts, the Guardian reports that United’s board are fully backing Ten Hag.

The board takes into consideration the fact there are severe injuries at the club at the moment as about 12 first-team players are on the sidelines.

Midfielder Sofyan Amrabat was forced to play as a left-back during the game against Galatasaray in the absence of injured Luke Shaw, Sergio Reguilon and Tyrell Malacia which gave room for the Turkish side to claim all three points at Manchester United. 

The club hierarchy also put into consideration off-field issues such as the Mason Greenwood saga and Antony and Jadon Sancho .
