ESPN is gearing up for the 2024 NBA Finals and has tapped Drake’s OVO for an exclusive drop. ESPN and OVO have teamed up for an exclusive and limited edition run of NBA Finals merchandised varsity jackets, which are set to release on Thursday (June 6) — just in time for the big showdown between the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics. The $698 Black and gold leather jackets will be available for purchase through the official October’s Very Own (OVO) app for United States residents only.
OVO and ESPN’s special sale will begin at 10 AM EST on Thursday while supplies last. The jacket’s back features both iconic ESPN and OVO logos, with the owl perched atop the sports network script. According to the press release, the collaboration symbolizes “the sports and fashion worlds colliding on the NBA’s biggest stage to wrap another storyline-packed season.”
This isn’t the first time Drizzy has teamed up with ESPN. In 2021, the Canadian artist created the soundtrack for the network’s Monday Night Football games. The Grammy award-winning artist created music for live telecasts, promos, and pre-game shows for 10 different games.

“Now we are here… the kickoff of the football season. And who better to curate music for Monday Night Football than Drake who sits firmly at the intersection of music and sports. We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming collaboration,” Emeka Ofodile, Vice President of Sports Marketing, ESPN, said in the release at the time. “The music curator role has been a big hit with our fans with Diplo and DJ Khaled in previous years… and this season, we will be living inside the moment with Drake as our NFL on ESPN soundtrack.”
As for the NBA Finals, Boston and Dallas are set to square off on Thursday (June 6) for Game 1 of the highly anticipated championship series. While the Mavs’ Kyrie Irving is seeking his second Championship ring, his teammate, Luka Dončić, and Boston’s Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will be in search of their first rings.
Boston and Dallas tip-off at 8:30 PM EST on Thursday.
