On January 31, Sony held it’s regular State of Play broadcast to show off upcoming games in its ever-growing library. We got a close look at Rise of Ronin, as well as Stellar Blade, and a few more intriguing titles. So let’s dig into everything we saw at the showcase.

We got a nice look at the alien-squashing co-op action with Helldivers 2, which arrives on February 8.

We got a super deep dive into Stellar Blade, showing off the post-apocalyptic earth and the many characters that will join Eve on her journey. Players can expect melee and gun combat with upgradable skills.

Sonic and Shadow are back with more ring collecting and speed running.

The Hoyoverse expands with Zenless Zone Zero, featuring some exciting looking anime action. The game arrives in late 2024.

This Splatoon-like from Square Enix is expected to drop this February.

Dave the Diver finally arrives on PlayStation platforms. This time, he brought Godzilla with him.

Originally released on PC in 2022, V Rising brings its action RPG gameplay to PS5 in 2024.

Silent Hill The Short Message looks an awful lot like P.T., and that’s not a bad thing. And, hey, it’s free to play!

Silent Hill 2’s much-anticipated remake got a gritty look at tonight’s showcase, featuring intense combat and brutal horrors around every turn.

From the creators of BioShock, Judas looks set to deliver explosive action and weird-looking visuals. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Metro arrives in the VR world with Awakening, coming to PS VR 2 in 2024.

Medieval hack-n-slash VR title Legendary Tales looks like a fun way to beat the crap out of skeletons that won’t stay still.

Featuring intense brawls with legendary creatures, Dragon’s Dogma II looks like it’s shaping up to be a stellar follow up to the 2012 action RPG.

We got a generous look at Rise of the Ronin’s world and combat with tonight’s preview. Not only will you be fighting fellow sword- and gun-slingers, but there are few monstrous surprises as well.

Horror title Until Dawn is expected to make a return on PS5 and PC in 2024.

Death Stranding 2 On The Beach headlined tonight’s stream with a huge deep dive showing off more of the story and the expansive world you’ll be walking around in. Hopefully there’s far more package delivering this time. And Troy Baker’s character has an attack guitar? Oh, Kojima!

Hideo Kojima joined head of PlayStation studios, Herman Hulst, to tease a bit of his follow up game to Death Stranding 2. In what he described as the “culmination of [his] work” in games for decades now, Physint is expected to be both a game and a movie.

Were you bummed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth didn’t make an appearance? Well you’re not alone. Good news, though! On February 6, 2024, we’ll be treated to yet another State of Play showing, this time with a closer look at the upcoming second chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake project.

And that wraps everything we saw at tonight’s State of Play. Which games are you most excited about?
