After Fala Chen (陳法拉) got married to French IT businessman Emmanuel Straschnov in 2019, she gave birth to her daughter in 2021. She currently resides in the United States and is juggling her role as a mother and exciting opportunities in Hollywood. Fala’s latest movie is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, which will release on March 29, 2024.
After leaving TVB, Fala obtained a master’s degree in acting from Juilliard in 2018. Signing with an American talent agency, Fala landed a role in HBO drama The Undoing alongside Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. Fala then made her official Hollywood movie debut in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, further propelling her recognition overseas. She was then cast in HBO drama Irma Vep, where she played actress Cynthia Keng.
Not slowing down, Fala followed up with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in a major supporting role alongside Rebecca Hall and Kaylee Hottle. In the latest trailer, Fala appeared on screen for a split second in her “fall goddess” ensemble. Although the trailer mainly showcased the roars of Godzilla and Kong, netizens are eager to see more of Fala’s screen time in the upcoming film.
