A brief video and set photos have emerged on social media from Kilter Films and Amazon Prime Video’s anticipated “Fallout” TV series based on the acclaimed Bethesda video game franchise.
As previously indicated, the series is not a direct adaptation or retelling of one of the acclaimed games such as “Fallout 3”. Instead, it’s a story that exists in the same world as the game but is its own thing.
The brief video shows off a Vault-Tec logo painted on the road outside an office building in a rundown post-apocalyptic type setting. In addition, an extra dressed as a raider from the Fallout universe is clearly seen.
This has quickly led to speculation the series will take us to Vault-Tec’s old headquarters, which was previously glimpsed in the third game.
Very little from the series has been officially revealed thus far beyond one still. Leaked set photos in the past have teased the presence of Vaults 32 & 33, locations not seen in the games thus far.
“Westworld” co-creator and executive producer Jonathan Nolan directs the premiere episode and executive produces, whilst Geneva Robertson-Dworet (“Captain Marvel”) and Graham Wagner (“Silicon Valley”) serve as showrunners.
Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard and James Altman also executive produce. Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten and Mike Doyle co-star in the series that is expected to debut on Prime Video sometime in early 2024.
