We’ve rounded up all of the total characters in each respective server. These characters are at various points in the game, which can mean some are still at the start while a handful of others have reached the end. You’ll find characters throughout each realm and expansion the game offers, giving you plenty of opportunities to find assistance and friends to play within all of the content areas.
We’ve updated this piece to reflect the latest server populations across all Final Fantasy XIV servers. Many of the servers are doing much more positively than they were in May 2023, and it’s comforting to see everyone jumping back into the game. With the start of October, we’ll be seeing these populations kicking up with the arrival of Patch 6.5, the Growing Light.
It has been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 6.5 will be launching on October 3, 2023, called the Growing Light. The arrival of this expansion introduces the first handful of Main Scenario Quests for the Growing Light storyline, Part 3 for Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid Dungeon, a new dungeon called The Lunar Subterrane, The Abyssal Fracture trial, The Singularity Reactor will be a new Unreal Trial, Custom Deliveries, and much more in additional 6.5 patch notes.
