Freddie Gibbs and Madlib are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Piñata with a few concerts. The first show is set for May 10 in Boston; the second concert is in New York; and the third show is in Chicago. El Michels Affair, who performed with Gibbs and Madlib for a 2019 “Tiny Desk Concert,” will back the hip-hop musicians at the shows. See more details below.
Gibbs and Madlib released Piñata to great acclaim in March 2014. Later in the year, Madlib shared his instrumentals for the LP on Piñata Beats. The artists reunited in 2019 for Bandana, and, the next year, Madlib shared Bandana Beats.
