Singer and producer Fridayy made his big 2023 BET Soul Train Awards debut as he performed his latest single, “When It Comes To You.” The blossoming crooner’s voice was as silky as his all-black ensemble. Accompanied by a dancer donning a long black gown, Fridayy kept the audience in awe as the two showed beautiful chemistry on the floating stage.
He bellowed the chorus, “I won’t waste no time/ I won’t waste my time when it come to you/ Put my pride aside, give it all to you/ Put my pride aside,” bringing back the nostalgic feels of “beggin’ music.”
“When It Comes To You” is Fridayy’s latest single from his self-titled debut album, which released in August. The 14-track LP includes musical assistance from Maverick City Music, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, Byron Messia and his mother. The album followed his 2022 EP Lost in Melody
The Haitian-American star, né Francis Leblanc, first gained widespread attention when he appeared on DJ Khaled’s Grammy-winning track “God Did” with Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and John Legend.
Some of Fridayy’s other production credits include Rae Sremmurd’s “Denial,” Chris Brown’s “Til The Wheels Fall Off,” and Wiz Kahlifa’s “1000 Women.”
