Popular Hollywood actor, Matthew Perry has died at the age of 54 after drowning.

The actor, who was most recognized for his role as Chandler Bing on “Friends”, was discovered dead on Saturday at a house in the Los Angeles region. Perry was discovered in the home’s jacuzzi, according to TMZ, and no drugs were discovered there.

Warner Bros. issued a statement about the beloved star: “We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry. Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family.

An LAPD spokesman told PEOPLE that while cops responded to a call to Perry’s house reporting the death of a man in his 50s, they did not reveal the identity of the victim.

Additionally, TMZ was informed that there was no evidence of foul play, and their sources claimed that first responders were sent to the home due to a cardiac arrest. Perry’s representatives did not reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment right away.

Matthew Langford Perry was an American and Canadian actor, comedian, and producer. He gained international recognition in the 1990s for playing Chandler Bing on the NBC television sitcom Friends and earned a Screen Actors Guild Award for the role.
