Speaking up for hubby Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎), actress Grace Chan (陳凱琳) says he has “always been consistent”!
Attending a publicity event for wealth management plan FamilyMAX recently, Grace was asked about being grilled online by netizens who said that she was adding fuel to fire when she posted travel photos recently, in light of Kevin’s recent scandal. Kevin had raised suspicions that he was not on good terms with the rest of his A Fistful of Stances co-stars when he expressed that he would not have time to attend if Kenneth Ma’s (馬國明) wedding was held overseas. To exacerbate matters, Kevin’s cousin Vinci Wong (王賢誌) purportedly had Kevin in mind when he ranted in his post about someone being “two-faced” and how “time reveals a person’s heart”.

Implicated, Grace’s happy vacation photos was blasted from netizens, who asked if Kevin had also felt that she was “wasting time”. Grilled by reporters, Grace said that she was in Morocco for work and thus took time out for leisure. Not expecting the backlash, she expressed that the comments have not made her unhappy, but she will be more cautious about post timings in future. As for many netizens’ speculation that Kevin was the “two-faced” person named by Vinci, Grace replied that she had brushed shoulders with Vinci several times during work and admired him for being a loyal and trustworthy person, adding that the two cousins might have missed out on developing closeness while growing up, and hopes that the two could have more chances to speak together and see each other more.
Further speaking up, the 32-year-old mentioned that Kevin has always been a consistent and “true to himself” and hopes that friends who knew him could understand his bluntness. Regarding criticism of Kevin’s “time-wasting” speech as being inappropriate, Grace expressed that explanations have already been made previously, and hopes not to dwell further.
