Welcome back to Deals of the Week, the place where the Guitar World team recommends all our favorite deals from the past week. Even though there aren’t many headline sales to talk about this week, we’ve found loads of big savings on great gear that will help ease the strain on your wallet. Let’s get to it…
In what will be welcome news for pretty much any guitarist out there, the price of the legendary Boss Katana has gone down. It’s across the board too, so you can get it from the majority of retailers in the US like Sweetwater, as well as in the UK at shops like Andertons.
Over at Guitar Center, there’s a big sale on all things Yamaha, which includes reductions on some acoustic and bass guitars. The popular FG and APX series acoustic guitars have seen a discount, as well as the futuristic-looking ‘Silent Guitar’ and some TRBX basses too.
At the official Fender shop, there are some seriously good deals on Fender Player bundles. You can bag yourself a Fender Player Strat or Tele with gig bag, cable, strap, stand, clip-on tuner, and picks all at a hugely reduced price. They’re excellent value for money if you’re after a new guitar
Finally, at the IK Multimedia shop it’s guitar month, with up to $100 off iRig and AXE I/O audio interfaces. If you’re looking to get more seriously into recording guitar, or you just want a compact practice rig, it’s a great opportunity to bag a quality piece of kit at a discounted price.

How we choose our deals of the week
Here at Guitar World, we are experts in our field, with many years of playing and product testing between us. We live and breathe everything guitar related, and we draw on this knowledge and experience of using products in live, recording and rehearsal scenarios when selecting the products we recommend.

We spend a lot of our time scouring guitar retailers for fantastic deals on our favorite gear. Not only is it our job to research and recommend the best gear in our buyer’s guides, but we’re also dedicated to helping players get the best deals for the gear they need, too. After all, the only thing better than new gear day is a hearty discount.
We cover a lot of the big sales events throughout the year, including Memorial Day, Black Friday, 4th of July sales and Amazon Prime Day, and we have a good view on which products are likely to receive the biggest discounts and when, the prices they’ve been in the past and which deals are genuinely worth a look.
Where are the best places to shop?
Online shopping is definitely a lot easier and more secure than it used to be, and we like to recommend a small handful of online retailers who have a sterling reputation and offer fantastic benefits like fuss-free returns, great customer service and, in some cases, full checks and setup of guitars before they are dispatched.
