Take the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, where Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber all attended with their luscious dark tresses either slicked-back or worn voluminous and long. Other brunette beauties in attendance included Natalie Portman, Oprah, Salma Hayek, Demi Moore, Zooey Deschanel, and Nicola Peltz Beckham. Oh, and Jared Leto, whose impressive mid-length chop was tousled to perfection.

Meanwhile in London, Claire Foy, Aimee Lou Wood, and Zawe Ashton were representing on the Brit-brunette front at the British Independent Film Awards in London on Sunday. While Foy’s hair was pulled up into an elegant bun at the crown of her head, Ashton’s deep brunette was subtly highlighted with sun-kissed caramel tones, and Wood has swapped sandy blonde for a glossier shade of mocha brown. Each of them make a great case for winter (and summer) brunette.

There is perhaps no greater advert for fantastic brunette than Amal Clooney, whose swishy, long, ultra-thick lengths are her signature, year-round. Often worn in a side parting and always with a luxurious, shiny finish, Clooney made an appearance at the UK premiere of The Boys In The Boat on Sunday with her husband, George. Matching red lips and nails completed the look, which featured toffee babylights – a new update in Amal’s hair color, courtesy of her stylist Dimitris Giannetos.
