Sandunes, Dualist Inquiry, Gauley Bhai and more are also part of the upcoming edition at Alsisar Mahal between December 15th to 17th

The upcoming sold-out edition of Magnetic Fields Festival in Rajasthan has announced its first wave of international and Indian artists performing between December 15th and 17th at Alsisar Mahal across several stages.

Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke, DJ-producer Mella Dee, Afrobeat legend Dele Sosimi, Irish artist Or:la, Chinese-born Canadian DJ Yu Su, U.K. DJs and producers like I.Jordan, DJ ADHD, Canadian-Australian artist Jennifer Loveless and Otik, Indian-born Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Jitwam are among the top acts making their way down.

A secret party will also take place at the festival, featuring Mohawke performing with Glasgow label and creative collective Numbers’ co-founder and selector Spencer, behind the decks. The Numbers showcase is part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, as Magnetic Fields celebrates 10 years in action since it launched in 2013.

The festival, whose theme this year is ‘preservation,’ will also bring in Los Angeles-based, Mumbai-raised artist Sandunes on the back of releasing her album Ground Beneath Her Feet performing alongside seasoned electronic artists like Dualist Inquiry, who will preview his upcoming album When We Get There. Often balancing live acts as well as producers and DJs, Magnetic Fields will also bring in Bengaluru-based Gauley Bhai, Mumbai’s Many Roots Ensemble and more.

The Jameson Connects South Stage brings in the likes of New Delhi producer Goya, with Dele Sosimi performing with a five-piece band, plus violinist-producer Elle Shimada, U.S. producer Kareem Ali, New Delhi-based guitarist and beatmaker Raj and Shillong-based hip-hop artist Meba Ofilia.

The Jameson Connects Underground returns to the palace dungeon once again, with sets by the likes of Goa-based OX7GEN, London-based Mixtress, Bengaluru DJ RaSa, plus Zequenx and more. Another mainstay the festival, the Peacock Club, will host a special set by MC and DJ Delhi Sultanate, who will invite guests as part of a set titled Midnight Dub Club.

Elsewhere, the BUDx North Stage will host Milan-based Chilean DJ-producer Paula Tape, Glasgow artist Bake, Bahrain-based duo Dar Disku and Indian selector Rishi Sippy. Opening the festival on Friday will be the Ray-Ban Desert Oasis stage, the Warehouse Mix collective of DJs No Mo Soul and Tartaruga will perform a curated set. As far curations, Magnetic Fields has also included AAGUU Presents: Solar Spirit ft DJ-producers Rishi Sippy, TaoFu & AAGUU x Alex Kassian on Sunday at the same stage.

The BUDxYard includes DJs international artists like Nosedrip, Otik, Orpheu the Wizard and Moopie behind the decks alongside rising Indian DJs including Girls Night Out, Kandy Kuri and GoodMostlyBad. The Sundowner terrace stage will see New Delhi-based producers Vridian and Alboe, plus Unnayanaa’s new live set Osmosis, alongside the festival debut of Bengaluru-based Sanoli Chowdhury and Angus 12. American producer and trumpeter Kareem Ali is also on the bill with a live set. The Disco Bar will also include the DJs from collective Dynamite Disco Club take to the decks at Magnetic Fields.
