If reports are to go by, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Tourism’s “Shri Ramayana Yatra” themed pilgrimage tour via the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train, has been specifically curated along the Ramayana circuit. The itinerary promises an indulgent experience onboard luxurious AC Deluxe trains that have been tailored for the summer season. The train comprises several coach types including AC First Coupe, AC First, Second, and Third Class, which means people can go for any option based on their preferences.

Reports add that this enriching train journey is scheduled to commence on June 7, which will be for a duration of 17 nights and 18 days, offering participants the opportunity to visit 14 significant cities across the country and explore 39 revered places of worship associated with Lord Rama and his epic saga.

The journey will start from the Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi, and take passengers through cities such as Ayodhya, Buxar, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Hampi, Nasik, Rameshwaram, Bhadrachalam, and Kanchipuram. To ensure convenience for passengers, the Shri Ramayana Yatra train will offer multiple boarding and alighting options at various stations along its route, including Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jhansi, Gwalior, Mathura, Agra Cantt, and Safadarjung.

The tour’s pricing structure caters to diverse budgets and preferences, with fees varying across four categories of coaches—AC First Coupe, AC First, Second AC, and Third AC. These packages, available for single, double, or triple-sharing passengers, are attractively priced, with the First AC Coupe package costing INR 1,66,810, the First AC package at INR 1,45,745, the Second AC at INR 1,34,710, and the Third AC at INR 94,600, after applying a generous 33 percent discount.
