Lokesh Kanagaraj is a maverick filmmaker with unique ideas, outstanding writing and a stylish craft. He redefined the style of commercial movies in Tamil cinema. He also started the trend of building a “cinematic universe” in South India with his blockbusters – Karthi’s ‘Kaithi’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’.
Loki is currently helming Thalapathy Vijay in the biggie ‘Leo’. Meanwhile, the maker is said to merge forces with Rajinikanth for which is touted to be the superstar’s last film. Tentatively called ‘Thalaivar 171’, the project is garnering a huge inception from the audience likewise Leo. Now, reports suggest that a “box office monster” is likely to join the film’s cast.
Kannada actor Yash attained global acclaim through the ‘KGF’ saga, which went on to earn over Rs 1200 crore worldwide. As per some sources, the Thalaivar 171 makers have initiated advance talks with Yash to play a crucial role in Lokesh’s movie with Thalaivar. However, we have to wait for an official announcement about the same. Loki will be busy with Leo till October.
