Returning to acting since her three sons are now teenagers, Isabella Leong (梁洛施) has been promoting her new movie Bursting Point . Although single for years since breaking up with billionaire Richard Li (李澤楷), the 35-year-old said she is not interested in dating anyone right now.
At a skincare event in Tsim Sha Tsui, Isabella wore an elegant white off-shoulder jumpsuit but was trying to keep herself warm. Explaining her costars were all getting sick due to the chilly temperature, Isabella has not fully recovered from her cold. “Luckily my three sons did not catch anything from me,” she said.
Reporters brought up Isabella’s interview on talk show A Date with Luyu , where she shared she has no regrets dating Richard Li (李澤楷) when she was only 20 years old. It was rumored Richard gifted Isabella $500 million Hong Kong dollars as a breakup fee after their three sons were born. She denied this, “I previously talked about this during the interview, and I don’t want to talk about it again. This is not the truth.”
Isabella shared her sons encouraged her to find another partner as they are worried she would be lonely. “They’re all grown up now–my oldest son is 14 and the twins are 13. They urge me to find someone, but I’ll leave it to fate. I now have my own company and manager. I want to focus on work and have no other thoughts at the moment. If I’m not at work then I’m at home, so there’s not much chance to take me on a date.”
Asked if her goal is to win awards, Isabella joked she is almost 40 years old. Wanting to experiment with new roles, Isabella hopes to film more movies. “Some dramas reached out with opportunities. In the past, I didn’t get the chance to try different characters…such as a murderer to show the dark side of humans. This is something I won’t be able to do in real life. It’s an abstract character you can’t touch, so I’m not worried I’ll be too immersed into the character.” Asked if she plans to invest in her own movie, Isabella she said that it is unlikely as her number sense not too good and she would not be a good business person.
