Now, she makes sure that both parties have a solid understanding and share a certain level of chemistry and ideals – and is looking out preferably for someone who’s close in age, but is mature in thinking. On her good friend, Joey Wong (王灝兒) who earlier announced her breakup with her boyfriend of 6 years, Jeannie said, “Life is so long, I feel that if a relationship can’t bring happiness, then…of course, you wanna be happy in life. I can’t speak for her, but I just feel that breaking up might not necessarily be a pity, it might herald something better yet,”

Learning from Veteran Co-Stars

Taking part in many different projects in her ten years in showbiz, most of the roles she has taken on were rather similar, but in Modern Dynasty 2 , she takes on a different persona from her playful and noisy self, playing a mature and cool-headed third-generation lawyer. Admitting that her character is poles apart from her offscreen self, Knowing she would be sharing many scenes with veteran co-stars who play her family members, she put in extra efforts to memorize her lines, build up her emotions, understand the nuances of the relationship between various characters, so that she can perform her best when the cameras roll, and hold her own without stage fright.

Ecstatic to have the chance to work together with the veterans she used to watch on TV since young, like Gallen Lo (羅嘉良), Benz Hui (許紹雄), Raymond Lam (林峯), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) and Candice Yu (余安安), she recalls growing immensely, by way of life lessons, and also to witness their professionalism and admirable attitude on set.

Praising Gallen, who plays her onscreen father, for having a dignified presence and strong aura, the veteran was also attentive and considerate, suggesting that they have a friendly chat before filming to warm up for their scenes and to soothe any anxieties she might have. As for Charmaine who plays her cousin, Jeannie is in awe of her great acting, singing praises of her sincere personality but said she is still able to maintain a charming youthfulness, with an adorable and lively side to her.
