Jelly Roll recalls turning down meeting with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs: ‘I don’t even know if that’s a picture I want’

Jelly Roll recalled declining to meet with Sean “Diddy” Combs after they appeared on the same episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last fall.

“This is the first time in my career, ever, where they said, ‘Do you want to meet such-and-such?’ And I said, ‘Yeah,’” the country musician shared on the “Cancelled” podcast recently.

“I started walking that way and as I was getting down the hallway — this is a true story — I said, ‘Nah,’ and went and got back in the car.”

Jelly — born Jason Bradley DeFord — said he didn’t “know what it was” that made him want to skip out on the opportunity to meet the Bad Boy Records founder last October.

The “Save Me” singer, 39, said he made a “joke” on the “Kimmel” set about Combs, 54, allegedly being involved in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder.

“And I made a joke at first,” he recalled. “Nobody thought that was funny, so I was like, ‘Ooh, that’s a bomb. Maybe I shouldn’t go and do this anyway.’ So I was already skeptical ‘cause I thought I had a funny one.”

Jelly then said he got a bad feeling about meeting the billionaire hip-hop mogul.

“When we were walking, I was like, ‘I don’t know,’” he said. “Very seldom does things rub me in a way where I was like, ‘I don’t even know if that’s a picture I want.’”

Jelly explained that he’s been in situations where he’s had to take photos with people he “didn’t want to be with.”

“Motherf–kers will walk a carpet around the same time. S–t happens,” he said.

“They’re like, ‘Hey, y’all get together.’ And you’re like, ‘I don’t really even know who this human is.’”

Two weeks after they filmed the episode, Combs was accused of rape and abuse in a shocking lawsuit by his ex Cassie. (Combs denied the claims and settled the lawsuit one day later.)

People reported that Combs never asked directly to meet Jelly and the “Son of a Sinner” singer could have been asked by producers at the talk show without the rapper even knowing.

The Sean John founder has been accused of sexual assault, rape, sex trafficking and more crimes in separate lawsuits throughout the past few months. Combs has denied all allegations.

Last month, the dad of seven’s Los Angeles and Miami homes were raided by Homeland Security in connection with alleged sex trafficking.

In a statement to Page Six, the “Last Night” rapper’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, called the raid a “witch hunt” and blasted “the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”
