Afia Schwarzenegger has offered to support Veteran gospel musician, Edward Akwasi Boateng to get back on his feet after going broke.
The popular gospel musician was spotted on Tuesday, February 20 selling pen drives containing his songs at Asafo in Kumasi to generate funds to settle his ward’s school fees.
The viral video caused shock to some Ghanaians who wondered why a veteran musician with reputable recognition would end up in such a situation.
Akwasi Boateng had divorced his wife five years ago. According to him, his current situation also stems from the fact that he did not get a “helper” as a wife.
“I did not get a helper so I spend more than I earn. At a point, I was not being fed in my own house but a teacher who has come to teach my children is rather fed. I have built my own house to accommodate us all but when food has been prepared, I’m not being fed because they say I did not provide money,” he added.
Well, after several people came to his aid, Afia Schwar also offered her support. In a recent post on her IG Page, Afia pledged to donate her February Tithe to him to help him get back on his feet.
