For the final hours of Prime Day, Amazon has discounted an assortment of our favorite power banks and power stations from well known brands like Anker, Jackery, and Ecoflow. There are hundreds of power bank deals going on right now, but we picked the ones that we’ve actually tested ourselves. You can’t go wrong with any of these picks, and it is really down to how much capacity you want and how portable you need it to be.
The Best Prime Day Power Bank Deals
Whether you’re travelling or at home, it’s always a smart move to have backup power on hand. These power banks and power stations come in all sizes and they’ll do a great job of giving you emergency juice.
The Best Power Bank for Nintendo Switch & Steam Deck
Anker 737 PowerCore 24K 24,000mAh Power Bank with 140W USB Type-C Power Delivery
Must be logged into your Amazon Prime account
Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members the high capacity Anker PowerCore 737 24,000mAh USB Power Bank for only $79.99, a 47% drop and the lowest price we’ve ever seen. It boasts a massive 24,000mAh capacity and an impressive 140W of USB Power Delivery. It is TSA approved (I’ve successfully tested this myself). It can charge a Nintendo Switch OLED over 5 times, iPhone 15 Pro Max over 5 times, Steam Deck over 4 times, and an ASUS ROG Ally over 9 times.
Anker’s Largest Capacity TSA-Approved Power Bank
Anker Prime 27,650mAh Power Bank with 250W USB Type-C Power Delivery
Amazon has also heavily discounted the Anker Prime 27,650mAh USB Power Bank, now only $119.99 after a 33% price drop. This is actually the successor to the Anker 737 above. Not only does it have a higher battery capacity, it also boasts a massive 250W of USB Power Delivery to charge even more power-hungry electronics like MacBooks or laptops. Regarding bringing the Anker Prime on airplanes, this power bank outputs 99.54Wh, which is just under the 100Wh limit required to be TSA approved.
The Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally Have Poor Battery Life
Both the ROG Ally and Steam Deck suffer from a short battery life when gaming on the go. For instance, when playing most games at 60 FPS, you’re likely looking at four hours of battery life for the Steam Deck and maybe half that on the ASUS ROG Ally, which is equipped with a measly 2600mAh battery. During our Steam Deck review, we even found games like God of War or Spider-Man could potentially tap out in under 2 hours. At the end of the day, you’ll never get the full potential out of your Steam Deck or ROG Ally if you’re not equipped with a decent portable charger.
The Anker PowerCore Reserve Is Perfect for Camping
Anker PowerCore Reserve 60,000mAh Power Bank
The Anker PowerCore Reserve 60,000mAh 192Wh Power Bank is currently down to $109.99 after a $40 clippable coupon. The PowerCore Reserve is a nice balance between size and power. Its 60,000mAh battery capacity is much higher than most power banks out there, but it’s also a lot smaller and lighter than an actual power station. It has some nifty features like a little popup light for emergency situations (night-light level brightness), an XT-60 port for solar charging up to 100W, and a convenient handle for toting it around.
The Jackery Explorer Is Palm Sized But Has Mega Capacity
Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Station with 100W USB Type-C Power Delivery
Must be logged into your Amazon Prime account
Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members the Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Bank for $89.99 after a $60 instant discount. At first glance the Jackery Explorer 100 looks like one of those large power stations you might use as a backup battery for your home. In reality, this thing is small enough to fit on the palm of your hand. It measures only 5″x3.4″x3.4″ and weighs about 2 pounds. This is a 99Whr power bank, which means it just barely squeezes its way under TSA’s sub-100Whr requirement. With a 31,000mAh total capacity, this is definitely the largest TSA carry-on eligible power bank we’ve posted on IGN.
This Power Station Deal at Walmart Is Too Good to Ignore
Ecoflow River 2 256Wh LiFePO4 Portable Power Station
Walmart is offering an Ecoflow River 2 256Wh LiFePO4 Power Station for a rock bottom price of $139. This is way cheaper than Amazon’s “Prime Day” price of $169 and an outstanding deal for this particular unit. The Ecoflow River 2 is a power station with a 256WH battery capacity. It uses newer LiFePO4 cells instead of the traditional NCM sells you find in the original River. LiFePO4 cells have inherently safer chemistry and have a much higher cycle lifespan than NCM cells. They also have lower calendar aging. The River 2 weighs 7 pounds, so its not pocketable like a power bank, but instead it makes for a handy little backup power station at home or on the road. You can connect solar panels to it for off-grid charging.
The Ecoflow Delta 2 Is Big, Heavy, and Great for Emergencies
Ecoflow Delta 2 1024Wh LiFePO4 (LFP) Portable Power Station
Must be logged into your Amazon Prime account
Here’s another Prime exclusive deal. Amazon has the Ecoflow Delta 2 1024Wh LiFePO4 Power Station for only $479, which is over 50% off the MSRP and another price drop compared to last week. The Delta 2 is a high-capacity power station from a well regarded brand; it’s equipped with safe and long-lasting LiFEPO4 cells and the 1024Whr battery capacity can power your PC or small household appliances for hours.
