Lauren Sánchez details Jeff Bezos proposal, says she ‘blacked out’ when she saw the ring

Lauren Sánchez has detailed her romantic proposal from soon-to-be hubby Jeff Bezos, saying the size of the diamond sparkler left her utterly speechless.

The former TV anchor, 53, recalled the moment the Amazon founder popped the all-important question on his ultra-luxe yacht trip to Cannes Film Festival in May.

“When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” Sánchez said in Vogue’s December issue.

Her gorgeous 20-carat sparkler is worth an estimated whopping $2.5 million, experts have told Page Six Style.

Sánchez added that her beau, 59, placed the ring under her pillow — leaving her shocked when she finally realized that he was asking for her hand in marriage.

“We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged five months,” she told the publication.

When asked about her wedding dress, Sánchez teased that she has a few ideas of which designers she’d like to tap in for the gown.

Listing Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino as some of her favorite fashion houses, the soon-to-be Mrs. Bezos said she’s not made any firm decisions at this point.

“There’s so many incredible designers, she said. “Once I get a minute, I’ll slow down.”

The pair on Sunday held a star-studded engagement party in Beverly Hills, Calif., at the home of designer Diane Von Furstenberg and media mogul Barry Dille, Page Six exclusively revealed.

Stars like Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand rubbed elbows with stars such as Kim Kardashian, Chris Rock, and Salma Hayek at the bash.

Disney CEO Bob Iger made the rounds along with Kris Jenner, Rita Wilson, Gayle King, Jessica Alba, designer Stacy Bendet and Hugh Jackman’s ex, Deborra-Lee Furness.

We’re told the Amazon founder gave “an incredible” and “heartfelt” speech to his fiancée.

And Nineties “Pieces of You” singer Jewel performed an original song she wrote for the couple called “Legendary,” a source tells Page Six.

The couple have been inseparable since they started dating in 2018.

Page Six confirmed that the couple’s love story kickstarted in 2019, but the duo kept a low profile until his divorce from his wife of 25 years, MacKenzie Scott, was finalized.

Rumors of the pair’s engagement first began to swirl in December 2019, when Sánchez was seen wearing a huge heart-shaped sparkler.

When Sánchez became involved with Bezos, she was separated from Hollywood talent mogul Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares two kids: Ella, 15, and Evan, 16.

Sánchez also shares 22-year-old son Nikko with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.

The pair recently announced that they are trading Seattle, where Bezos built his empire, for the picturesque ocean views of Miami to be nearer to his loved ones.
