Lil Wayne Reveals NBA Finals Predictions, Says He Refuses To Count Steph Curry Out

Lil Wayne recently spent some quality time with his son, Kameron Carter, at a basketball game, and wound up revealing some early season favorites. The two sat courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Phoenix Suns and shared their commentary through a mic’d up conversation.

When asked about which teams the New Orleans rapper thinks will make it all the way to the Finals next year, he swiftly responded, “I’ve got the Bucks and Warriors.”

Kam then expressed that he was surprised by his answer, which led Wayne to explain why he isn’t ready to give any prediction that doesn’t involve Steph Curry. “To me, counting Steph out is like how it used to feel when you’d count Brady out,” the veteran spitter replied, comparing the point guard to Tom Brady.

“Them Patriots years that you just thought they’re not going to be there, and then they’d be in the f**king Super Bowl. That’s how I be feeling about Steph. Every time I’m ready to say, ‘Yeah, Steph’s run is over,’ that boy be right there in the Finals,” he continued.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the duo exchanged a back-and-forth about Bol Bol, Austin being in the big three, and more. Check out their endearing conversation above.

It’s no secret that Weezy is a sports expert, as he recently landed a guest host spot on Undisputed. The “A Milli” rapper stepped in to assist Skip Bayless after Shannon Sharpe ended his run on the FS1 show earlier this year. Wayne has been taking his new role rather seriously, as he even unveiled a new theme song for the show. Revisit the tune below.
