Recently Angelina Jolie, 48, opened up about certain instances when she found herself being self-critical of her own appearance. Notably, one such moment arose when she saw herself featured on posters, donning the iconic Lara Croft costume. This reflection left her astonished at the way her body had been portrayed as the ultimate action hero.

With a raw and honest perspective, Angelina Jolie’s experience sheds light on the pressures faced by individuals in the entertainment industry. Despite her global fame, she too encountered insecurities regarding her physical appearance.

Throughout the production of the Tomb Raider movies, Jolie underwent extensive physical and mental training to embody the role of an action star. The rigorous regimen allowed her to sculpt her physique, ensuring an authentic and captivating performance.

“They had me up at seven each morning and handed me a protein shake. Suddenly, a nutritionist was giving me five meals a day. But you had to do these things to maintain your energy,” the actress comments about those times.

Even with her impeccable physical condition for both Tomb Raider films, Angelina Jolie faced challenges when it came to the portrayal of her physique in film posters. Shockingly, certain images were subjected to edits intended to enhance her appearance, which Jolie openly expressed her offense towards.

“I still can’t get over that they airbrushed my nipples out of the posters for Lara. Look at that. No nipples, I think it’s rather strange and odd. Nipples are lovely.”
