In a story that seems a little too far fetched to make the plot of Final Destination, a video has emerged of a man and his colleague suffering what can only be described as one of the worst deaths you can think of.
The car they were driving plunged into an inescapable sinkhole that slowly filled with boiling water.
The moment was caught on CCTV – with the men trapped inside the car and bystanders helpless to do anything but stand and watch the nightmare unfold.

49-year-old furniture-store employee and dad of three, Vladimir Valyalkin , 49, was driving in a Lada with his 35-year-old colleague and passenger, Igor Chikasov, 35, in a car park in the Russian city of Penza in November 2019.
Unknown to them, one of the pipes used to pump hot water into buildings in order to heat them during harsh winters had ruptured.
Unbeknownst to them, the constant flow of hot water was slowly eroding the ground below their wheels.

A journalist from Penza Vzglyad local news website said that a car had driven over the same spot minutes earlier.
“The driver noticed [the] ground beginning to steam – and quickly drove off,” they began.
“Then these two men came.
“They parked – and the asphalt collapsed right under them.”
As Valyalkin and Chikasov drove across it, steam apparently blocked their view and the ground swallowed their car and flipped it onto its side, trapping the men inside, unable to open the doors.

While some reports say they managed to get their seatbelts off and kick at the windscreen, the tragic pair are said to have died ‘almost immediately’ as a result of the 75°C water.
Another clip then shows the car being pulled out of the huge sinkhole – sadly along with one of the men.
While they weren’t held criminally responsible for the deaths, Water company T Plus who owned the damaged pipe responsible for the men’s gruesome demise offered to pay compensation to men’s families and cover the costs of their funerals.
The local Ministry of Emergencies said in a statement at the time: “A car fell as a result of the ground collapsing.
“Sadly people were killed.”
