Shinasaka serialized the psychological strategy game manga in Young Champion Magazine from June 2006 to April 2011. He then drew two manga sequels titled Hitobashira-hen and Minagoroshi-hen. Akita Shoten shipped the 10th and final volume of Minagoroshi-hen in August 2021.
Shinasaka began serializing a spin-off manga titled Touhai: Cold Girl in Young Champion Magazine in September 2021. The sixth volume is scheduled to go on sale on January 18.
Synopsis
Not a lot of people know that one of the most talented and ruthless Mahjong players in the city is a young high school boy. Kei is a teenager of few words, but his observation skills, unwavering will, and experience in the game allow him to survive in a world full of powerful, rich, and dangerous characters. Kei is currently hiding a girl named Amina who has entered the country illegally and protecting her from being deported.
